Nature Bugz is your opportunity to immerse yourself into nature through the beaten track, in far north Queensland.  Central Cape York Peninsula is home to many mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds and insects, from native to feral animals and you might see some or all of what lives out and beyond the main road. Wolverton Station invites you to taste life on a working cattle station, adventuring along the back tracks in a Polaris Crew Ranger buggy.

How does it work?

All bookings are placed through this website with payment made in advance.

Pack your picnic and arrive around 8am for a full induction and safety gear provided. Once you feel comfortable, off you go on your adventure through the back paddocks, crossing creeks and gullies along the way.  The journey out to your picnic spot is around 20km and will take you around 2 hours. Once there, you are invited to swim, catch a fish and enjoy the tranquility of no other people, no noises - just nature.  If you get a little unsure at any point, we provide you with a Garmin Mini 2 so you can make contact with the homestead through the duration of the trip. You will return to the homestead by 4pm and head back to your camp in time to prepare your evening meal before the sun sets.  The day will be one to remember for you all.
